So, mom called me up about 20 minutes ago asking me if I wanted to go to the Pound. I stuttered and while I'm not against having another dog, going -there- just wouldn't be good for me right now. She was asking if I felt it was too soon to get another one, and while I kinda feel like that, I'm more concerned with the fact that I know those dogs are all there and wanting someone to take care of them and hoping to be taken out of puppy prison, and I won't be able to leave them behind. Now it's afterwards and I'm feeling guilty about Jasmin and not being able to do anything else to alleviate her pain at the end and missing her like hell. Also missing Ginger, Bubba, Dudley and Sissy while I'm at it. I'd really love to just have a dream with all my dogs surrounding me sleeping contently one night.

Sixteen and a half years ago to the day, an energetic loving furball came into my life, providing company and unconditional love. For all that time I have been blessed and am thankful I have had one of the most beautiful, smartest dogs in the world. Unfortunately I had to let her go this morning, and it is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. My solace is knowing she's in a better place... and hope she can forgive me the wait until I see her again to give her another belly rub.

I got a call today and the lady told me that I was picked as one of the winners from the radio station's online trivia contest last week. I don't know why people are randomly asking me if I've seen the movie yet though... cause so far 2 different people.. the clerk at the grocery store, a lady at work, both asked if I'd seen it. They both liked it. The only complaint I've heard is from my co-worker's dad who was annoyed they blew up a planet.

So, I got to witness some jackass stealing my mom's summer tires today.

I usually spend my days off here at their house with the dog, cause she's old and the cold weather hurts her joints. So I was napping earlier and had only been up for a short time and there was a knock on the door. I figured it was my grandma or someone just coming for a visit, not terribly uncommon, but it required pants... so I got my pants on and then checked the front door, no one was there. Checked the street to see if my grandma had went back to her car thinking I was asleep... nope, not there. I walked out of the House barefoot, a sock falling out from my pants leg as I moved and there was a white truck in our carport. I thought it was my dad... then noticed his Truck was on the other side of this new truck and suddenly wondered why he'd be knocking... THen I saw this guy hauling the tires into his truck, he yelled "gotta go" and then got in the truck and backed up and sped off... I was concentrating on the license plate to try and remember it just in case... saw the guy's girlfriend next to him on her cellphone... and they sped off like a bat out of hell. I immediately called my mom to find out if someone had been sent to pick up tires.. she didn't know, I called my dad... he said no, and to go after them... I told him it was too late.. they were going 70 in a residential and that was about 8 minutes ago... so I had to call the cops. Whee...

So, Chris has been deported and shipped off to Mexico.

How do I know this? He promised to call me to allay my concerns of him travelling cross country by car. He has yet to do so. Until then I am going to assume the worst. If he isn't at least I'll be able to guilt trip him to hell when he finally gets off his sorry hispanic ass and calls me.
